Reflecting on 2014

2014 has been an awesome year filled with ups and downs, highs and lows but in all of that, there’s been many happy moments that i will cherish forever.  And for that i am thankful. I thought i would reflect on 2014 based on the months.

January

*On bloging, i think i did a great job of starting and maintaing my Longlazysunday and Motivation Monday posts and i am so glad that i did.  I can be a procrastinator and obviously not finish what i started and the fact that i started these blog initiatives and continued them throughout 2014 is a huge success.

*I started trainig for my half marathon and of course i never made it because i hurt my knee but at least i started…this year hopefully i actually train and run one.

February

*We went to see our cousin at her cooking school.  We watched her prepare one of the most delicious meals i have ever tasted in a long time.  And now that she has graduated…i can’t wait to see all the goodies she is going to come up with!! Congrats Chef M!!

March

*In March, i did my first official fashion post.  I so need to do more in 2015 becuase goodness knows i want to get back into wearing cute clothes…after i lose all this extra weight (that has been lugging around for the last two years).

April

*We celebrated three years of marriage and it was wonderful.  The years are passing by and we continue to grow in love.

May

*May brought Spring and lovely waether and our desire to go to open houses.  We were also excited about the possibility of moving to South.

June

*We experienced many lows this month however we prayed and perserved and were able to enjoy our summer as much as possible.  We went to Ocean City and had such a great time.

July

*We went to Sesame Street where Baby Pancakes had such a great time.  It’s a place for younger children but it was totally fun for us too.  I can’t wait to return in 2015.  We also went to Rehoboth Beach with the BFF and my godson and that was also a lot of fun!

August

*We celebrated Baby Pancakes’ 2nd birthday and although i can’t believe he is already two.  The time sure goes by fast but we are enjoying our time with him.  He had an elmo themed pizza party and he sure had a fun time.

*We randomly went to look at some new builds in our neighborhood on Sunday and that began our home hunting search.

September

*We fell in love with one house and then finally met the home that we would purchase and it was definitely love at first sight.

*I attended a few blogging events which were super fun.  It made me remember how fun blogging is and how i would love to participate in more events.

October

*I celebrated my birthday and Mr. Pancakes purchased me a house.  We closed on our house.

November

*We moved into our home.  We spent our first Thanksgiving in our new home.

December

*We hosted our first Christmas dinner for our families. And it was wonderful. It made me realized how a house turns into a home. I am so glad we are finally home (at least physically)!!

Overall, 2014 has been a wonderful year and i feel happy and blessed.  True happiness is being satisfied with everything that you have (at least this is what i believe) and i can say that in 2014 (even with the lows), i have been truly happy!!
