On Old Stuff

Sometimes nostalgia can be a curious place!

Let me explain…i was reviving my Inspire Me Series and it brought me to comments that were made in some of the posts and i couldn’t help but wonder where some of these bloggers are and what they are doing in their lives? Curiousity or nostalgia might have got the best of me so i went searching.

Some blogs have not been posted on for more than two years, some blogs have closed down and others continue to blog but very limited.  It’s funny how people just leave their blogs and essentially their lives online behind, perhaps to live in real life without an audience. Which is completely fine but you always just wonder:

  • “is she okay?”
  • “did they have ever have kids?”
  • “how old is their son now?”
  • “Did they ever take that trip they wanted to take?”
  • “did her husband ever come back from the war?”
  • “did her husband finish his medical program?”

Blogging sometimes makes me nostalgic for answers.  Or just another way to satiate my curios mind.

But i do wish all my blogging friends, that no longer blog, well.  I hope that their dreams and hopes are coming to fruition and that they know i am thankful they allowed me to share a piece of their lives…the good and bad.  I don’t know how long i will be blogging for but i do enjoy making connections! And it just makes me a little sad to see some of my favorite bloggers no longer blogging! Of course people have the right to live their lives in real time and not online…but I do mess sharing their lives.             Question of the Day: Do you ever wonder about your old blogging friends who no longer blog?

I actually do sometimes. There’s one blog I kept checking for over a year and she recently came back. It made me really happy.

Though we don’t know these people in real life, I feel like we are connected somehow, sometimes even friends :).

I love that even if you stop blogging I will still be able to harass you offline 😉

I think about a lot of old blog friends a lot and always wonder what they’re up to. It’s like never being able to finish a movie or book and just wondering how it ended … But yeah, I know exactly how you feel.
