Mompreneuring without Fear

Happy Thursday Friends!!

Lately i have been thinking about the future.  About when the kids get older and there are many extracurricular activities that i don’t want to miss.   We specifically moved into a small family community with a strong focus on academics and extracurricular activities because we wanted that kind of lifestyle for our children.  And in order to fully take advantage of all that, something has to be different.

I have never been into owning my own business and being an entrepreneur but the more i think about my current work schedule (which is not bad at all because i get off earlier than most and have summers off), i am reminded of how structured my day is and how limited i will be IF i had to take time off to attend an activity or two.  Additionally as much i love my clients (elementary school students are so much easier going than high school students), i LOVE my own kids more (obviously) and want to give them 100% of my time if possible.

With these thoughts in mind, i am brainstorming different ways of becoming an entrepreneur within the next five years.  I figure allowing myself in 2016 to manifest my business goal and then develop it within the next year and bring it to thriving fruition within the five years.  I have some ideas of what i want to do but it’s still an idea and i need to work HARD to bring it to fruition.

I figure the biggest thing i can do is to jump into my dreams without fear and the rest will figure itself out (with hard work and determination).  I have heard many times about creating your own opportunities if you don’t see them presenting themselves.  I figure i have to create something that is going to work for our family because we need the income and also i do enjoy working.  Too often i can allow fear to enter into my future decisions but in 2016, i am believing that all i want is going to manifest if i put my ideas and plans into action!

I will definitely keep you posted.

Question of the Day: What is FEAR blocking you from doing in your life?

It’s so true. My parents rarely went to any of my gym meets or extracurricular activities because they had to work. I totally understand and it was hard on both sides. It is a juggling act and you can’t be in two places at once so the flexibility of having your own biz would be ideal.

Go ahead girl, future entrepreneur. Having your own business would give you so much flexibility. If you could take a leave of absence and explore that and see how it goes, that would be ideal. This way if things don’t work out the way you want you can always go back to a flexible work schedule.

  3. The road to entrepreneurship starts with an idea. So it sounds like you’re on the right track. As a WAHM it’s definitely great to have the flexibility to be more active in my kids’ activities. I’m praying that everything works out and that you’ll be where you want to be business-wise in the next five years!
