Good Morning Friends….

I am thinking there is nothing better today than soup!

It is cold outside today and all i want to eat is some good soup.  There is something soothing and healing about soups.  Soup is for the soul (i am getting a little sentimental about soup…i know).

I made some pepper soup last week (African style) and it was delicious.   I make an awesome lentil soup too!  Now i am all about soup for the cold weather.  I might make some today and thought i would go on Pinterest for some ideas…this could be considered my Wordless Wednesday!!

Question of the Day: What’s your go-to soup for the cold weather months?

Yum yummy! I love a good chicken noodle soup (more chicken, less noodle) and also mushroom broth soup AND pea soup!

How do you make your pepper soup? Care to share? Hubby LOVES it but not so much for me. I would be willing to make it for him though if I knew how. I’d likely adjust it a bit by adding less peppers and more spices.

  3. I’m not really a huge fan of soup unless it’s Bonefish Grill’s corn chowder- oh my goodness that stuff is the business!! And I also like Lobster bisque from this obscure restaurant in a shore town in my home state. I have make homemade chicken noodle soup for my boys once when they were sick. But if you are so inclined to share your pepper soup recipe I might just have to try it!

All of them lol. It warms the soul I am still trying to figure out how to make the ones the hibachi places have.

  5. Pegster says:

Dude you are making me drool right now, it’s definitely a soup kind of day. I want a bowl please.

  6. Selma says:

Pumpkin and Lentil Soup with Bacon…YES! Now I’m hungry, thank you.

  7. Rene says:

Chicken Tortilla and Tomato Basil! And I love to eat it out of my big Christmas mug cuddled up on the couch. Hmm, I think I need to find that Tomato Basil recipe…

  8. I love a thick, chunky chili in colder months. It must be topped with cheese and sour cream. Yes ma’am.
