That word doesn’t sound good at all…sounds like a boxer or another type of athlete who is using something illegal.  But in my case…i am talking about using fruits and veggies in my fancy dandy nutribullet to make delicious and awesome smoothies to drink and be healthy.

Well actually, the hubby received it for his birthday and has yet to use it…so i am claiming it!  Because since i am starting to get more serious about my running…my eating needs to line up or it’s not going to work the way i need it too.

Running is  a serious job and the more i run…the more i remind myself that i need to eat healthier and cleaner in order for my body to use the energy and fuel it needs to help me run faster and longer and stronger.   Therefore, i thought why not juice and juice well.

Over the weekend, i attempted a few smoothies that did not go over too well.  So i am committed to trying new and better ones to see if i can get the mixture right.  The worst thing i can do right now is to make the wrong combinations and just turn myself off of smoothies, which would be a travesty.

Therefore, i went to Pinterest and found combinations i am committed to trying this week.                  Yaahhh Mrs. Pancakes!

Question of the day: Have you tried juicing and what are the combinations you enjoy?

About to try juicing for a week. Should be interesting. Bye bye cookies

I have the Nutribullet as well. Got it last week and started doing the smoothie last week. I used it as a breakfast (dinner on Saturday) replacement.
Basically, I do any mix of fruits and spinach (my veggie of choice). I also add a scoop of protein powder since it is a meal replacement. So far, its been quite drinkable. If you aren’t already doing so, try adding protein powder. You’ll notice it’ll keep you fuller longer.

Hope that helps! Can’t wait to see your progress. I got back into running last week. So far, I am only doing a 1-mile run and 2 mile walk. I used to run 3-miles 2-3 times per week prior to baby. Hoping I can get back there. This morning took me 12-minutes which is better than the almost 15-minutes it took me last week. Slow and steady I guess :-).

    Yay us!!!

I’ve never tried juicing…honestly, I can’t ever see myself getting into it. BUT, I’ve heard such great things about it and some people find combinations that they love. Hope you do too.

I haven’t ever tried juicing, but I hear there are some amazing health benefits…good luck!

  4. I’ve tried the Mean Green minus the Pear and I really liked it. I’ve also tried cucumber apples and carrots and liked it. You can also add some ginger root to just about anything to “spice” it up a little. Be careful though as it is potent. Best of luck with the juicing AND running.

I need to purchase a juicer too! Keep us updated on how it goes.

And I completely agree the word juicing does sound illegal!

Ah juicing. I am so not into it but my hubby recently decided to start. Let’s just say he didn’t like the combination of celery and carrots. Let us know how it goes
