Christmas with Boys and Girls Club

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys and Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

Christmas is one of those holidays where I want to give back to those that do not have.  It’s a reminder of what I have and what i probably do not need and who will benefit from what i have.  Sometimes it’s not even about money but more time and energy.

Which brings me to Boys and Girls Club of America.  When i was in college, i was a volunteer for the BGCA for many years and i thoroughly enjoyed giving back with my time and energy.  It always made me feel good that i was helping all those kids that needed a place to go for recreational activities, socialization, friendships and sometimes a place of safety.  BGCA definitely makes a difference in the lives of many children across the country.

Therefore, i wanted to share how the Boys and Girls Club of America are celebrating the 3rd year of their BGCA Give the Gift of a Future Holiday Campaign.  I love the idea of encouraging kids to volunteer their time and energy through their Kids Give Back.  It would be awesome for you to go and vote for some kids who are helping to make their communities better.

In addition to that, BGCA is giving back by allowing you to develop and print out  holiday gift tags through their Gift Tag Generator.  And they are also encouraging us to teach our children to learn servicing their communities by giving back with their Gift-of-Giving tips.   I want to do more volunteering with BGCA and by doing this, i can only support Baby Pancakes’ love of giving back.  I want this Christmas and then 2014 to become a year when we give back more as a family.

I would encourage you to do the same ladies!!!  Don’t forget to check out your local Boys and Girls Club of America website to see how you can help out this holiday and into 2014.
