And just like that we’ve been married four years!!! Woohoo!!!
Yesterday I met a lady who will celebrate her 33rd year of wedded bliss on Friday and I said to her how in comparison, I am a baby in the marriage game. And she said to me: “oh honey those early years are the hardest…Congratulations to 4 years!!”
Her words made me reflect on our four years of marriage and I am reminded of many things that have come along the one (in a short time) that could have broken us or made us weaker as a couple but in the midst of all the hard times, there have been many good times and we continue to grow and love, cry and laugh and do what we know how to do…be with one another! Coming into four years was rather difficult emotionally (maybe I will talk about it someday on the blog) but we persevered and we are stronger individually and collectively.
In four years, we’ve traveled, (lived our vows when we) experienced illness and sickness, rich and poor, had the most beautiful and smartest and best little boy in the world, we’ve changed several jobs, we’ve moved several times, we’ve house hunted and moved into our gorgeous home. We just sprouted our first flowers in our front yard. We laugh and love everyday and there is not a day that goes by that we do not lock lips.
We definitely celebrate love and each other everyday. We are learning that the small stuff makes this married life worth sharing and being in. Everyday leads to another day of happily wedded bliss and I am grateful I get to share these moments with my one and forever, Mr. Pancakes.
I LOVE you babe to the moon and back a million times. Here’s to 4years of celebrating love!
And just because I LOOKED amazing that day!!
I am going to try on my wedding gown tonight…wish me luck that it still fits!! One of my anniversary promises…to fit into my gown every year!!
