Blogging Goals

You know there are so many things to talk and write about sometimes that all you need is time.  And honestly considering i am coming off a 5-day weekend, i should have been on schedule with posts.  However, that did not happen and instead i enjoyed my days off and just took in the sights and sounds of my family.

At the same time though, i want to have a successful blog with some substance instead of pretty pictures and inspirational quotes.  So i am stating to the universe that i want to be more plan-full, goal oriented with my blogging and posts.

Anyway i am committed to goal setting for my blog posts and making it happen every single day.  So i am not scrambling in the morning or throughout the day to get something written!  I love reading thoughtful posts so it’s only going to happen if i put in the work.  Actions speaks louder than words.  And sometimes pictures and motivational quotes are needed…but not when i have so much to talk about and share!!

Decisions are made with a goal in mind and based on facts.

Question of the Day: How do you stay organized for your blog?

I know what you mean. Some weeks, I don’t feel like blogging so I just post pics of things I’ve seen throughout the week. Then when I start talking about them, it suddenly turns into a post.

I love doing DIY stuff so that also helps me keep up with my blogs. Then there’s the fact that I read a lot of “foolery” during the week :-). Typically, what I do is that I create a post with an idea and just save it. I have like 5-drafts currently. Whenever I can’t think of anything to post, I just go with one of them :-D.

I know you’ve done some traveling in the past. I’d love to see some of those pics if you have them :D.

    • i was thinking about this last night and couldn’t be happier…i should totally share my travel days!!! they were some of the best times of my life!! thanks JJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope to get into DIYs someday too…it does make for fun posts to write about!

  2. Me too!!! There are days when i have so much to say I can’t get it all down and then days when I’ve got nothing.

Most of the time I use a blog planner but I’m not really a paper and pen kinda girl so I forget to refer to it. Maybe I should try to get back to the editorial calendar and that could possibly help!

Organized? Hmm.. I don’t. I would love to put out more thoughtful posts but to be honest I know that it would actually make me sit down and think about what I what to write for my blog … and I just want it to be fun. So I just write about what’s going on around me and go with the flow. When I don’t have anything to share on a certain day, I don’t.

    • surprisingly the most fun i have in blogland is coming up with something fun and unique to write about. i love the idea of being able to engage in dialogue with others about my thoughts…that’s a great/fun part of my day!!

  4. I have a bunch of drafts with things I want to write about but formulating the words takes time and effort. Good luck meeting your blog goals.

I mostly keep a notebook of things I want to blog about. When the time comes when I think I am all out of ideas I always go back to that notebook.

I no longer pressure myself to blog daily. I have times when I just can’t blog and I need a breather to live in the moment and I take the time when I need it. I’m actually wanting to get more into thoughtful blog posts. My mind is always churning about something but my readers seem to enjoy my daily life but I plan to start incorporating other things into the mix!

    • i like the idea of keeping an ideas book or log of some sort…i think sometimes, just the lack of ideas makes me feel uninspired and there is always something to be inspired about. thanks Mimi!

I have so much writing happening in my mind but when I sit in front of my computer I go blank because my mind is divided. but i’m learning to be more organised and keeping notes of what I want to write about helps and sometimes when I have baby feeding I type my posts.
